The Cincinnati Reds acquired Chris Paddack to address an emergency need in their starting rotation. In two starts since joining the club, Paddack has thrown exactly 5.0 innings each time, allowing 4 earned runs total across 10 innings with 8 strikeouts and 4 walks. He is scheduled to start Friday at home against the Atlanta Braves. Prior to joining Cincinnati, Paddack had been struggling as a starter for the Miami Marlins.
