Jansen Lands on IL With Pelvic Inflammation
Detroit's closer is sidelined after a recurring groin/abdomen issue flared up mid-appearance, forcing an early exit.
The Tigers placed Kenley Jansen on the 15-day injured list with pelvic inflammation after he labored through a ninth-inning appearance and left following a trainer visit. The issue had been lingering for weeks, with Jansen previously listed as day-to-day on May 2nd. He managed limited action between April 30th and May 9th before returning, but the problem resurfaced. Jansen has posted a 4.80 ERA across 15 innings this season.
