Los Angeles is bringing back utility man Santiago Espinal days after he was nudged off the roster, with injuries creating renewed need.
The Dodgers are re-signing Santiago Espinal, who had recently been removed from the roster when Enrique Hernández was activated. Espinal cleared waivers and elected free agency but is now returning to LA. His re-signing is driven by a wave of injuries to Enrique Hernández (oblique tear, back on IL) and Teoscar Hernández (hamstring strain, IL). Hyeseong Kim will be optioned in a corresponding roster move.
