The Mets defeated the Marlins 9-7 in 10 innings on Friday night. MJ Melendez entered as a pinch-hitter in the seventh inning and delivered a walk-off two-run home run in the bottom of the 10th, finishing with three RBI. Austin Warren stranded the ghost runner in the top of the 10th to preserve the win opportunity. New York has now won a league-leading 11 extra-inning games this season.
